Permanent Full-time Application Developer

Job Summary Reporting to the IT Manager, the Application Developer works closely with Senior Application Developers and is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of Java enterprise applications while designing fully functioning debugged code with required documentation that meets development goals. Responsibilities
  • Write, modify, integrate and test software code
  • Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions
  • Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software
  • Assist in the collection and documentation of user’s requirements
  • Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications
  • Research and evaluate a variety of software products
  • Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required

 Education/Experience
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years directly related experience
 Computer and Technology Knowledge
  • MAC, Linux, Device drivers, Servers, File management software, security software, programming software, HTML editing software, database software, software development, MS Office, TCP/IP
Programming Languages
  • DHTML, XML Technology, Java, JavaScript, JSP, CSS, Applet, Servlet, Object-Oriented programming languages, SQL, JQuery, SASS, MySQL, HTML, XML, Git, CoffeeScript, Angular.js
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.

Working Conditions

  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet critical deadlines and to perform upgrades during down times.
