Job Description:

World Skills is working with an employer to recruit for the position of Special Teams. Special Teams is a division within our Sales Department, that focuses on the development and training of new corporate locations and assisting in the development of some franchises. The mandate of this position is more focused on special areas, and improving overall growth and customer service. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in the food services industry, and in management of one or multiple locations. Ideal candidates are individuals who are hands-on, can work in a fast paced environment, can provide direction and can maintain multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities include:
  • Training of new corporate locations and some franchise locations
  • Improving Customer Service – ensuring Company Guest Services policy is practiced in the store at all times and coaching management in the development of exceptional Guest Service
  • Assisting in the implementation of new products
  • Ensure all QSE standards are being met and practiced by management and assisting with training, coaching and maintenance of company standards of cleanliness, sanitation and safety
  • Assisting management with staff relations - recruitment; performance reviews; assistance with growth and development; guidance and onsite training; and educating staff on corporate policies and procedures
  • Lead by example - present a professional image at all times, demonstrate how to provide a pleasant working environment
  • Training management on conducting budgets and reports – daily inventory counts; weekly inventory reports; increase sales to meet revenue targets; ensure all labour cost is within budget
  • Research community events in the different areas for the stores to participate in.
  • You possess 5 years of food industry experience, specifically in the restaurant business, with 3 years of management accountability.
  • You are a problem solver with excellent communication and team building skills.
  • You see that initiative and adaptability are the keys to results.
  • Computer literacy, ability to travel, dedication, discipline and drive.
  • You are committed to quality, cleanliness, value and service.
  • You are available to work flexible work hours – long shifts, weekends and late evenings.
