Our client, a well-established company located in the East, is currently looking for a highly organized and detail oriented Full-Time Office Administrator/Manager to join their team. This is a permanent position directly with the organization.
This is a blended position. We are looking for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and that doesn’t mind working for a smaller company.
Duties may include, but are not limited to: Human Resources
  • Accurate administration and management of all payroll matters and liaison with payroll company - ADP
  • Accurate administration and management of group health and insurance benefits
  • Accurate administration and reporting of payroll, government returns and remittances (EHT, WSIB)
  • Monitor sick leave, vacations, and other leave for all employees and liaise with head office
  • Other miscellaneous duties related to HR

Health and Safety
  • Responsible for Quality, Health & Safety, Environment matters & compliance
  • Establish & communicate (with Management) clearly defined QHSE practices for staff to apply
  • Identify relevant QHSE related training needs with Management and ensure training is delivered to relevant staff
  • Maintain proper training records, training schedule and evaluations according to Training Plan
  • Oversee, maintain, and improve the company's ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001 programs
  • Participate in internal/external audits and management reviews annually

  • Accurate administration of accounts payable including liaison with head office and accountant
  • Liaise with and support the President, head office and accountant on financial/budgeting/year end matters as required
  • Administration of corporate tax and HST; liaison with head office and accountant

Required skills and qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in all areas mentioned above (HR, Accounting and Health and Safety)
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Critical thinking and proactive problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with MS Excel and SAP (Willing to train)
  • Strong ethics, integrity and common sense

  • Salary of $50,000-$70,000/year
  • 3 weeks’ vacation

  • Reports directly to President

Monday to Friday – Hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm. This position is located in the East of Ottawa. (Bus Accessible)
