Our client, a well-established company located in the East of Ottawa, is currently looking for an Engineering Manager who would be able to provide leadership and direction on a very diverse portfolio of projects which requires integration and coordination. This position would report directly to the Managing Director.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of resources including material, project integration and budgets.
He/she will be required to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that the whole project lifecycle is managed effectively and efficiently to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Required skills and qualifications:
  • A Professional Engineer Designation
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Process Driven)
  • PMP Designation would be considered an asset
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in a variety of project roles, including managing, leading and coordinating major design and manufacturing projects
  • Strong team player who can articulate concerns, drive accountability and successfully manage a diverse portfolio
  • Proficiency with Auto Desk and/or Solid Works as well as MS Office applications
  • Ability to work well under pressure, strategize, plan and organize
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Must be able to obtain a Level II Security Clearance

This position may require overtime in order to meet deadlines. Travel is also required approximately 4 times per year.
