Part time (14 hrs/week) 10-month Maternity contract (Sept-June)
Confederation Court Community House is a non-profit community based social service agency. The Community House is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator to provide educational and support services to facilitate in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of age and culturally appropriate play and learn programs for children (ages 0 to 4 years) and their parents attending our English as a Second Language classes.
Salary range $ 20.00-$22.00 per hour.
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 12 pm Includes ½ prep time daily
  • Post- Secondary degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education.
  • Must be current with their Registration of the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Must have working knowledge of ELECT
  • Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
  • Understanding and sensitivity of poverty, equity and diversity issues.
  • Must have experience supervising staff
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a LINC program is an asset
  • Experience in community outreach
  • Fluency in English is required. French and other languages as asset.
  • Current Police Check for the Vulnerable Sector
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
