We are currently looking for a candidate to fill a temporary bilingual Administrative Support position at our ODSP office located at 347 Preston Street in Ottawa. The position would run until the end of this year, with a chance of extension into 2018.
Ideally we would be looking for the following skills in our candidate:
  • Knowledge of office procedures and experience providing administrative support such as processing invoices, ordering office supplies, filing and tracking systems, preparing written materials (including meeting minutes), making travel arrangements etc.
  • Experience inputting and maintaining computer database information
  • Someone who is effective at receiving telephone calls and greeting office visitors
  • Someone who is able to effectively organize and prioritize their workload within established deadlines
  • Knowledge of word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software to produce letters, memos and reports

Since we are an organization that serves people with disabilities, it goes without saying that strong customer service skills are a requirement for this position. Experience helping people with disabilities is not mandatory, but certainly would be an asset.
