The General Receptionist answers and directs phone calls; greets clients and visitors to CCHC and responds to enquiries from the public concerning services both at CCHC and in the local community. The incumbent coordinates the scheduling Administrative Assistants to provide General Receptionist coverage.

Requirements:

Essential

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a receptionist of large multi-disciplinary staff
  • Experience working with a community-based health/social service agency
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Proficient with Windows-based computer systems, in particular, email and MS Word and data entry software
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Ability to deal with emergencies in a timely manner

Desirable

  • Experience working with diverse clients

Language designation

  • English, written and spoken
  • French, written and spoken

Start date: June 2018 to November 2018 (with possibility of extension)
