POSITION DESCRIPTION

You take pride in providing excellent meals and enhancing the guest experiences by offering personalized service, suggestions and pairings. Daily tasks will include taking orders accurately, delivering hot food promptly, clearing tables, and managing transactions. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists guests in a timely and professional manner with food and beverage selection by presenting menu; offering cocktails and appetizers; explaining the specials; answering guest questions.
  • Records guests’ choices and transmits orders to the bar and kitchen; identifying special dietary needs and special requests.
  • Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
  • Serves orders by picking up and delivering guests’ choices from bar and kitchen.
  • Responds to additional guest requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process.
  • Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to guest spills or other special needs.
  • Issues bill, accepts payment and delivers bill and payment to host/hostess; returns change or credit card and signature slip to guests.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and assisting team members.
  • Performs cleaning duties as required.  

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and KEY SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team setting or on an individual basis 
  • Ability to focus attention on details and multi task 
  • Strong organizational skills and able to prioritize job duties 
  • Knowledge of menu 
  • Must be available for shift work; mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be Smart Serve certified 
  • One year experience
