Our Employment Resource Centre is a hub for job seekers. Open to all clients of World Skills and staffed by knowledgeable volunteers, the Centre offers no-cost services including:
• Computers equipped with high speed internet and Microsoft Word
• A black and white printer and photocopier
• A library of job search material
• Course calendars, community information, etc.

Professional coaches offer World Skills clients one-on-one assistance with résumé and cover letters.

Career portfolios can be powerful tools for job seekers as they demonstrate your skills and accomplishments. Documents to include in your portfolio are:
• Copies of your current résumé
• Reference letters or letters of recognition
• Documents you have written
• Samples of your work (if you are a writer, photographer, graphic artist,designer, etc.)
Most interviewers will not ask to see the content of your portfolio so it is up to you to respond to a question in a way that allows you to integrate samples from your portfolio. Have copies of your documents to leave with the interviewer.
