SUMMARY:Fares Chmait-Maximize your Language of Influence for Employment
DESCRIPTION:Fares Chmait will share his knowledge and expertise on the importance of Effective Communication in relation to employment. \nFarès Chmait brings energy\, experience and passion to the table. Beyond the traditional trainer\, consultant and speaker roles\, every clever intervention seeks to inspire the audience it was prepared for. With conferences that are strictly tailored for cultural and entrepreneurial relevance\, Farès has coached hundreds of executives to communicate differently™ (his trademark in Canada and in the U.S.) and learn the art of public speaking and presentation skills\, through ontological coaching and NLP. \nThe author of numerous publications\, including Beyond Selling in 1995\, recognized as one of the best works on the application of new communications techniques to selling\, he also co-authored Coupables de Réussir in 2002 and published The Power of Decision in 2012. \nEvent Agenda Items and details: \nDuration: 1 hour \nDate: Friday September 17th 2021 \nTime: 11am EST \nAgenda Items: \n 1)What is Effective Communication \n-Why should anyone hire you? \n-Speak to the head\, heart and wallet \n-Decode the different personality types and learn to communicate adequately with each \n-Remove Ambiguity in others and alleviate their concerns \n-Respond to questions effectively \n2)Communication Barrier and the Power of Networking \n -Why the one size fits all do not work \n-Understanding and speaking to the different personality types \n-Words that change minds \n-Why should they accept your proposal \n-Establish Connections \n-Why perception is crucial \n3) The Art of Persuasion with Integrity \n -Managing Stalls and Objections \n-Uncovering what the other person really wants \n-Articulating your point and your value \n-Achieving Win-Win Outcomes \n-Bringing people over to your point of view \n***The event link for registration will be posted on September 6th\, you won’t want to miss this amazing event! ****

SUMMARY:Accenture-World Skills Mentorship Program Partnership Celebrating it’s 5th year Anniversary
DESCRIPTION:June 10 – What a night it was! Accenture and World Skills pulled out all the stops to celebrate the 5th anniversary of their pioneering and highly successful mentorship program. Of course\, it was virtual but the excitement and enthusiasm were palpable as old acquaintances revisited great memories and caught up on their careers since their mentorships. \n\nhttps://ottawa-worldskills.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/ACWS_5-O_Trim.mp4\n  \nHighlights included a stunningly creative video retrospective of the 10 cohorts of the program. In all\, 139 World Skills clients have completed the program. Of these\, 53 — and counting\, have found meaningful jobs and cite their mentorship as a big part of getting these jobs. The cohort that just graduated was the largest ever with 33 mentorships! \n  \n“Mentorship is key to long-term success and career progression and it is important that those who receive mentoring support\, pay it forward by supporting others. And those who give of their time to mentor others receive deep personal rewards for their generosity\,” noted Gemma Follini\, who has managed World Skills’ side of the partnership from the beginning. \n  \nOver the past five years\, 82 Accenture managers and senior professionals have given well over 500 hours of their time. \n  \nLisa Nguyen\, Accenture’s program manager for the past two years\, reflected on “pathways to success” for effective mentorships and consultants: find impactful work\, own the solution\, stay curious\, improve continuously\, take care of yourself – and agree on “done”. \n  \nThis program has tremendously benefited World Skills clients from the IT industry. Building on this success\, and the lessons learned achieving it\, World Skills will be reaching out to industry leaders in other sectors also.
