Learn the skills needed to lead a successful job search in Canada.

Delivered over four days, in English only, the Career Access for Newcomers (CAN) Program offers a group-based learning environment where job seekers have the opportunity to learn and practice the skills needed to undertake a successful job search in Canada.

You will learn about job search methods, recognizing and describing skills and career accomplishments, transferable skills, labour market research tools and why it is important for your job search. You will also learn how to write a targeted resume and cover letter to apply for jobs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • International Students with a valid work permit, Foreign Born Canadian Citizens, Refugee Claimants and Temporary Residents with a valid work permit.
  • Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 and above
