It was great to have gone through the CAN workshop, where I learnt how to update my resume to match the Canadian standard, I got great insights on how to search for job opportunities and best of all, was the reassurance I got of knowing that my hard earned knowledge, skills and experience , were not all lost, as I had been told. As a professional newcomer I was afraid and concerned that my skills did not matter, and I had to forget about all that I had gained and start from ground. It was a joy to know that my skills were transferable, and the facilitators practically demonstrated how I could look for opportunities that matched my expertise.

Thanks to the workshop, that after my training I was well prepared to attend an interview, and I got a job in my line of interest. A job that is now utilizing my skills and experience and I am finding satisfaction in as I offer solutions that the organization much needed in a skillful and efficient way.
