Learning and Development for Finance and Accounting Professionals

World Skills would like to invite you to a day of professional learning and development events for Finance, Accounting and Business Professionals. The purpose of this day is to provide you with information and networking opportunities that will support your employment search.

The day has two parts and you can attend one or both events.

Part 1 (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) is an opportunity to learn about the licensing and accreditation process for accounting and finance professionals. It will be a fantastic opportunity to ask questions as well as hear from others about their journey to securing employment here in Canada. As well as experts from CPA, we will be joined by a couple of other guest speakers from Ottawa Community Loan Fund and Recruiting in Motion.

Part 2 (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm) will be an opportunity to network with employers, find out about their hiring processes, available opportunities and receive coaching and feedback with regards to your particular skill set and experience. Again, a great chance to ask questions and find out more about what organizations are doing. There will 15 organizations joining us representing a cross-section of sectors from non-profit to banking and accounting.

You are welcome to come to join us for only one or both of the sessions depending on your interest.

• Networking and Employer meetings (Afternoon Session: 1 pm – 4 pm)
