Scotiabank – ENW Targeted Recruitment Event

One of Scotiabank’s best came to World Skills on October 27. Stephane Altidor, Customer Service Lead, spoke with about a dozen clients in World Skills’ Empowering Visible Minority Newcomer Women (ENW) project to encourage them to join the bank.

Stephane received the bank’s “Best of the Best” award in 2020 for being the top performer in Quebec and Eastern Ontario in that most challenging year.

He gave a 15-20-minute presentation about the bank and its employment/career opportunities. His main focus, and that of the audience, was describing in detail the bank’s recruitment processes and answering many questions. He thought, “The participants’ questions were very relevant and to the point”.  As well as clearly and concisely providing the critical and specific information our clients needed, what made the event so special was Stephane’s ability to engage with our clients making it a genuinely interactive and personally rewarding experience.

For his part, Stephane was also pleased with the event, “It was very well organized and I feel the session was very useful and appropriate for the participants.”

It was easy to see why he won that award — and may well again.
