Starting a new job is an exciting milestone—but the first few months in a new workplace can strongly shape long‑term career success. To support clients who have recently been hired or are preparing to begin a new role, World Skills Employment Centre is pleased to offer an in‑person Post‑Recruitment / Job Retention Workshop.
This session is designed to help participants build confidence, understand expectations, and successfully integrate into the Canadian workplace. Through practical guidance and real‑world scenarios, clients will gain tools to navigate the early stages of employment and establish a strong foundation for long‑term success.
In this workshop, participants will learn about:
- Understanding a typical Canadian workplace environment
- What to expect during the first days and months of a new job
- Workplace culture and communication
- How to manage and respond to challenging situations
- Strategies for successful integration into a new team
- Employee rights and responsibilities in Ontario
This workshop is ideal for clients who have secured employment and want to strengthen their job‑retention skills as they transition into their new roles.
