Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services Information Session
On January 26th, the Empowering Visible Minority Newcomer Women program held an excellent information session with the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services. CFMWS is responsible for administering for delivering selected public morale and welfare programs, services, and activities to eligible members.
Our guest speaker Joanne Jarocki was thrilled. “As a mentor with ENW, meeting such amazing women and listening to their journeys, I am proud to be a champion that is making an impact and breaking down the limitations of our past generations.”
This information session provided ENW participants with helpful tips on human resources such as the best application approach, resume writing, interview process, and cultural values. Joanne also touched on the importance of professional development, offering resources and courses available. Participants asked many questions and enjoyed the session with raving reviews!
“Thank you for a great session today. I did not expect to learn more about the company, and the presentation that Joanne did exceeded my expectations. It helped that it was a small session, so everyone was able to present and asked one or two questions.”
“It was a great and informative session. I believe that those concentrated sessions are very useful as we can focus on the information delivered from the company’s representatives and have time and chance to ask more about the company.”
Thank you to Joanne Jarocki for your presentation and for taking the time to connect with candidates about potential opportunities with CFMWS.
