Honouring Our 25th Anniversary Commitment with a Tree Planting Event! 🌳🌲

Today, October 3, 2024, the World Skills Employment Centre team fulfilled a special promise we made at our 25th Anniversary Gala—to plant 25 trees to commemorate this important milestone. 🌟

Early this morning, 20 of our dedicated staff members headed to a beautiful farm in the east end of the city, where we were warmly welcomed by Shelley Crabtree, the passionate Executive Director of Capital Forest. Shelley guided us through the tree planting process, teaching us how to ensure the trees have the best chance to grow, thrive, and contribute to the environment for years to come.

This event was especially meaningful, not only because we met a promise, but also because we were able to connect with nature and contribute to a cause much larger than ourselves. 🌿

A huge thank you to our incredible staff who enthusiastically took part in this memorable activity, and to Capital Forest for their support and dedication to preserving green spaces.

We’re proud to have been a part of this initiative and look forward to seeing these trees grow as a symbol of our continued commitment to the community and the environment. 🌱
