World Skills – Most Empowering Immigrant Employment Skills Development Organization 2023 – Ontario

(Ottawa, July 4, 2023) ) In 2023, World Skills Employment  Centre was nominated for the 2023 Non-profit Awards, organized and hosted by Acquisition International, a United Kingdom based multimedia company.

World Skills won thd award in the category of, “Most Empowering Immigrant Employment Skills Development Organization” – Ontario. World Skills joins scores of organization across the world to be recognized for this prestigious award.

The Non-Profit Awards is organized by Acquisition International who hosted this exclusive award for the third consecutive year. The award aims to reward the commitment, innovation and determination of the best NPOs across the world.

Acquisition International explained that, “amongst the current financial climate, NPOs are being pressured to make a shift and adapt to what they want to achieve in their campaigns [mission],” and as such, this award seeks to reward the most innovative NPOs while providing a platform to showcase their leadership within the non-profit sector.

Acquisition International made the official announcement in June. World Skills Employment Centre is thrilled to receive this award and continues in its mission to connect immigrants to employment and integrate into the Canadian workforce.

Executive Director at World Skills Mengistab Tsegaye said, “we are elated to receive this award for the services we provide to immigrants in Ottawa by providing employment support that helps them integrate into the Canadian workforce.
