Canada Revenue Agency [CRA] – Employer Information Session for ENW Program
The Empowering Visible Minority Newcomer Women program participants received comprehensive information on the job opportunities, recruitment process and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies at the Canada Revenue Agency [CRA], Government of Canada.
On October 28th, CRA Representatives graciously dedicated their time to network and coach the ENW participants on the following topics:
- The CRA’s commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
- Potential jobs in the fields of Audit, Finance, Human Resources, Law, Policy and Information Technology, profile of candidates required for different roles and the languages, education and experience needed.
- Innovative methods on enhancing candidate’s professional profile
- Registration process for job application
- Networking opportunities, mentoring programs, and wellness activities
- Employee benefits
- Student work opportunities
- Volunteer opportunities like their Community Volunteer Income Tax Program
The CRA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is across all levels of the organizations. The CRA recognizes the barriers faced by the person with disabilities, and they work to put measures across all levels for a better accessibility plan. They are focused on building a workforce which is more reflective towards the needs of Canadians.
Additionally, the CRA representatives also spent time in learning about the ENW program and the participant’s international expertise in different sectors. CRA members shared insights on the recruitment steps and answered participant’s questions related to the application and the interview process and more.
A special Thanks to ENW’s Employer Engagement team: Haguer Abdelmoneim, Andy Rapoch and Fatima Saadeddine for putting this event together for the Empowering Visible Minority Newcomer Women program.
