COVID-19 Impact on Employment, Employer Panel Discussion

Today we held our virtual Employer Panel Discussion via Zoom Video Communications for our clients participating in the Empowering Newcomer Visible Minority Women to Succeed in the Canadian Labor Market Initiative. A special thank you to our guest speakers who gave our participants insight on the current employment situation and to answer their questions about how the COVID-19 emergency will impact the job market and their career prospects.

Panellists discussed how employers are dealing with the current situation—informing our clients on how to advance employment prospects, new career opportunities, challenges, and job loss. Our clients were open and transparent about their concerns. They were given solutions on how to accommodate changes in the job market, possible new hiring processes, and creative ways to make use of them.

“Thank you for organizing this lovely event, the other panelists shared some very insightful recommendations, helpful reassurances and astute observations. It’s lovely for our Ottawa community to come together to help each other out this way.” – Chamika A, Privy Council Office, Government of Canada

We want to extend our appreciation to Magdalene Cooman as the panel moderator and our ENW Recruitment team, Andy RapochFatima Saadeddine, & Haguer Abdelmoneim, for their fantastic job in preparing and executing the panel today!
