The Honourable Yasir Naqvi, MPP Ottawa Centre, presented Mengis with the #OC150 Award which recognizes “50 women, 50 men and 50 youth working to build our community.”

World Skills is one of the best Non-profit organization in Ottawa. It’s been providing for decades the best tools to Newcomers and it helped so many people. My sister and I arrived very young and we had amazing mentors like Mengis, Magdalene, Bibiana , Nneka, Jeanne d’arc and more.
They all thought us one thing : Don’t limit yourself.
