Celebrating Immigrant Entrepreneurs: Ottawa Newcomer Entrepreneurs Hub Hosts Annual Alumni Networking Event
Members of the Ottawa business community and various other community organizations joined the Ottawa Newcomer Entrepreneurs Hub (ONE Hub) in hosting its Annual Alumni Celebratory Event!
More than 75 attendees had the opportunity to network with business experts and learn about available resources to support immigrant entrepreneurs in Ottawa.
The event was held to celebrate the achievements of immigrant entrepreneurs and their inspiring stories of perseverance. These entrepreneurs have made Canada their home and have been successful in establishing and growing their businesses in the country.
The event also provided an opportunity for them to connect with Ottawa’s business network to further promote their brands, products, and services.
The event included an inspiring Fireside Chat with guest speakers: Helen Tang of Helen Tang Real Estate, Radwa Abdelbaky, In Motion Events, and Osama Abu Daqqa-Laheeb Restaurants. They shared stories of their entrepreneurship journeys in Canada which highlighted their determination and persistence in pursuing their passion for business. This segment was moderated by Bruno Khater of K1ever who is also a ONE Hub client.
In addition, guests were able to participate in a Digital Marketing Clinic hosted by three ONE Hub clients: Jane Rimikhanova of KOLO Agency, Jideofor Ahaneku of GoBuyHub, and Bruno Khater- K1ever. They shared invaluable information for those who wish to expand their businesses online. The event also featured businesses by its clients, who were able to showcase their products and services. This included: Charms Chocolate and Asma’s Table. Yummy Touch also catered.
The Ottawa Newcomer Entrepreneurs Hub (ONE Hub) thanks community partners such as: YMCA, RBC, Eco Equitable, OCLF, OCISO, PARO, World Skills and the Ottawa business community for attending and showing continuous support to immigrant entrepreneurs.
