The Professional Newcomer Women Behind ENW

On August 20th, The Empowering Visible Minority Newcomer Women program wrapped up another fantastic session with our Model 2 participants. Cohort 8 consisted of newcomer women within a variety of professional backgrounds such as Medicine, Law, Computer Science, and Education. The one thing which they all had in common was the determination to find a job that matches their professional abilities successfully.

The dynamic interventions provided through The Empowering Visible Minority Newcomer Women program aims to be a part of the solution for visible minority women to access and grow within the Canadian labour market. In addition to job search strategies, ENW also provides mentorship opportunities and encourages newcomer women to believe in themselves. The ENW team also provides reassurance that they are indeed qualified for the Canadian labour market. Despite the challenges they may face in a new country, our participants have taken the initiative to make a change. Their hard work, resilience, and dedication, together with ENW, have given participants a great advantage.

To provide the best service and resources, we love to hear from our participants and use this feedback to improve program aspects. ENW is making a positive impact in Ottawa. Take a look at these testimonies that may spark inspiration!
